Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

I'm sorry but to all the techs who believe in "ATS". Why would you want to take a position with less pay and worse benefits? There is no benefit in being an expendable employee. As for all the union naysayers that complain about there 2% dues and how they don't want someone to "speak up" for them? Let me ask you this. Have any of you naysayers ever spoke to upper management about this changes that make you work more for less pay? The reduction in sick days? Oh and just wait til the "PTO" takes effect. I came from a company that went to that system. It didn't work out for the employees. Just the stock holders. If you guys want to believe in Altice that's fine just know that you do not have the right to complain if what happened to Shelton happens to you. You had your chance and lets see if you "speak up" for yourself if that happens.

Uh, you know more than techs work in the company right? They drink coffee too. Not everything is a slap in the face. I'm happy we're getting new machines. The coffee we got now is tasting like crap.

If you're worried about losing your job it's on you. Don't go blaming management or nps or something. Don't hide behind union talk neither. I keep asking about ATS news and they keep telling me there isn't any. Know why? Cause there isn't any. Just keep cool and make this work for you. Everything is not the man trying to get us.

This site is sad thought we had some comradery with the back and forth,it's obvious management has infiltrated this site, and pitted techs against techs. I say this to management what have you done the past 4 years, also newer techs I was one of the techs that had the Bronx on point when you go into that warehouse and look up at that banner none of you newer techs were apart of that (not your fault by the way) so you come in and start saying we are old and lazy so why does the bx have over 100 - 150 nodes in distress

that was never the case before this management team showed up. If we had 20 it was too much these are sad times that were in. I just hope the Bronx does the right thing tomorrow, because creating animosity between technicians is not good we are suppose to be better than that we are technicians we repair and help people with their issues, not destroy each other with negativity so every union non union go to sleep and think about the things you say, you are only creating angst and anger amongst each other be part of the solution. Not part of the problem. People disagree it would have not gotten to this point if management was doing the right thing, remember that tomorrow when your in that voting box this is not the same management team they do not play fair they are underhanded I was never worried about losing my job with the previous ownership but now I am numbers don't mean a got damn thing with this group only when they want to use it against you remember only 5% of these great techs get exceeds what's that 5 out of 100 not good odds for hard working techs and that's if your department is the best if the team does good we should all prosper not individuals we a creating a me society that's what management wants so we can't fight the real issues them.

They think were morons and our actions keep solidifying that opinion of us. If we cant get the union in after what they have taken from us, then it will never happen, Bronx is really our last remaining shot before this movement starts to fizzle out.
