Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Gold Mine, Crown Jewels and Shoes

Bizzare article by Bloomberg released today. What do you think, will they share some of the gold by recalling and rehiring some of 700 terminated employees?

Very Sad, employees are now being treated like a number at Williams. Dont see any integrity left at this company, they should do away with their core values.

They may also keep northwest pipes as well, and a few midstream gathering operations, only time will tell what will be left. There could even be another attempt at a merger or takeover in attempt to clean out excess management layers. Not bad if you are looking for a steady dividend.

Bh the time all assets are sold off and debt reduced the only thing left will be tons of managers, Tulsa bigwigs, Board members and transco, stock will trad water for several years, par for the course😀

Debt reduction is part of the financial stuff announced this week. $2B "in addition to Geismar monetization". That's a good amount of cash. WMB stock fell due to new issuance and the fact Williams won't be getting a big infusion from WPZ. Not accessing the capital markets for two years will bring the market around. Even though senior management has grown slightly, newbies aren't making what the others are, plus a couple retirements/resignations to come. Still rumors of exits after bonuses pay out. And, closing OKC office will help reduce debt. Other smaller offices are in the crosshairs for elimination too.

We have to get rid of this huge amount of debt somehow. Getting rid of some upper management would also help.

So typical, article by Bloomberg stating how great Williams is, followed next week by floating more shares and dilution to pay down debt, stock is down 10 percent, stockholders got slammed today, join the crowd!

Agreed, about not caring, lucky to have a job, keep your head down and don't speak out about anything.

Reduction of heads due to merger is to be expected, part if buisness. Don't like the don't care mentality but unfortunately that may be the best way to cope in big business.

May be the best option to maximize

Your wealth.

Read that story again...any potential buyer will feel the same way KW did...good bye Oklahoma completely. And you all can keep hating. Most of us don't care anymore...

You would have to be part of the "Williams Culture" what ever that is, don't open your mouth to make things right and learn how to loose hundreds of thousands of dollars, then maybe you would be called back!
