Actually I am. I will be starting my Co-op in the summer and will be receiving my Bachelors in Computer Engineering in the winter(FDU). So I will be gone after August. I just don't understand how someone that can't understand that if they know they can do multiple jobs and are such an asset to their company, would let their company do whatever they want to them including reducing their benefits and bonuses and the ability to progress to positions with higher pay(leads are starting to be fazed out and I have never seen multiple supervisors quit in such a short time). It doesn't seem like they care about what happens to them or their future. I wish you guys luck in the future as I refuse to ride on this cliff approaching train that is Altice .

Btw.. CWA voted down in the Bronx.. Guess they like the Pat on the head!

If it's so bad why not just leave? No one is making you stay.

Yeah... that's BS. Business class from 3 years ago since I was a TSG rep was Grade 15. Thanks to the bump that was created by the union in Brooklyn that caused the Dolans to be fearful. Also it has nothing to do with not wanting to better ones self but to know how much one is worth. I love people who are brainwashed into thinking that they're doing the company a favor by doing more work for less pay. It is obvious that a corporation would rather have you do more for less. I see nobody complained when they got that pay bump due to Brooklyn voting the union in. If you want to do more work including escalations also multiple call backs that ruin your metrics but if you don't then your FCR is totaled and be "valued for it" by just a pat on the head and a doggie treat then be my guest. I know my worth. Apparently you undervalue yours. Have fun when 2018 comes and the real changes are enacted. I like to see your response then.

Fyi.. Business Class work for years has been a job description for grade 12 and above. Seems to me you have been getting paid a long time for work your not doing. Also this is a clear example that you have no drive to better yourself. Sometimes the reward of learning something new is payment enough.

Yeah right "Super tech". How long before performance bonuses get changed or removed. We already lost the Holiday bonus so that might not be far behind. They already gotten rid of the grade 14 tier in TSG(technical support group) so now there is no increase from connectivity 2 to advanced connectivity. I am in the top 90% but yet here I am doing more work for less pay while my colleagues who under the Dolan regime got the pay bump when they took on more roles. So I don't find it okay that I'm doing the same job and getting paid less. Also now they're asking us to do Business class accounts which is a grade 15. If they try to make that mandatory I will call the union myself and start it up. This is ridiculous.

That's the sh--ty techs that know they will never have good numbers and are on an action plan every other year that coin the term "Super Tech" to make themselves feel better about the sh--ty job they do day in and day out. I will gladly be a super tech if that means getting a 2% bonus for the past 3 years every March while they get nothing.

I love that if you're a good employee, do your job, and are in good standing with the company you work for, That's a bad thing?

Maybe some of you guys need to find employment that fulfills you and makes you happy, but with reading some of this crap, your demeanors just won't ever allow happiness

Wow. I love the people who say my "stats" will protect me. Yeah....tell that to the people in Connecticut. If you guys do get laid off then you have nobody to blame but yourselves and I hope your "stats" will cover you when that happens.

You people forget in a years time we can revisit the Union. In the next year if this company turns out to be the liars we all think they are, then the Union will be a unanimous decision.

Never once did myself or any tech at my depot have any issue giving away their on call shift. Even on a Holiday. Usually there is more than one taker.

You are obviously one of the uneducated morons who wanted Union. I'm not gonna explain to you the difference again. I would be better off explaining it to my dog. You sir are the epitome of why the Union got voted down.

You explain to me how standby isn't mandatory overtime if nobody else wants it? "Giving it away" ain't that easy, especially on a holiday week. If you can't get anyone to take it, guess what, you are forced to work overtime that you don't want.

reposted fixing piss poor spelling

Very disappointed, but can say I am not surprised, during my time in Piscataway there was always a major divide between the techs, and alot of animosity it didn't help I think that the most vocal voices for the Union were not techs that were considered top performers... 2 in specific where always in or on the verge of the bottom 10% in terms of performance metrics, so many viewed their enthusiasm as trying to save their jobs by hiding behind the union...

In the end I think a union would have protected jobs and benefits in the long term. Though I was laid off months ago and not in the know on the details of the union drive i get the feeling that the union didn't help themselves in the by trying to building soliderity in the ranks.

Now Piscatway will rip itself apart as the techs take their rage put on each other, furthering lowering morale...

Being laid off was the best thing to ever happen to me... at least I have my freedom from Altice.

Yes but the difference is that there is only 2 techs per week that are on call. Every grade 13 or above is on the list once as 1st on call tech and once as 2nd on call tech. So unless you are on those weeks there is no mandatory OT. And like I said before you can easily give those on call shifts up if you want to. There is always many techs who want the money. No idea why im explaining this though. If you were a tech you would know this. Again makes me wonder who is really posting the pro Union BS on here. Maybe it's the IBLOW!

Standby WTF you talking about? Do you even work here? There is 0 mandatory OT. Now every week there are 2 on call techs. But that's just 2 techs every week posted at the start of the year. And the techs that don't want it can easily give it away. Comments like that makes me think who is even posting on here.

That is to bad about OSP, maybe when they start doing TC's and installs again they will change their minds, but it will be too late then

Post ID: @1ifr+LbXB7uA

Because the IBEW decided to keep OSP out because those guys were all voting no. Not 1 OSP tech at Pway wanted Union. Maybe there could of been 1 or 2 that were keeping their mouth shut but most would of voted no. So the shady Union strategicly kept them out.

Good! Let them get rid of the 46 techs who are sh-- and constantly don't do their jobs. Sick and tired of going after techs who were to lazy or scared to climb to do their job. Seems to always be the same techs. And if I do get an 80 point route I will do what my 8hrs allowes me to. No mandatory OT. Did you forget.

Why was field service the only group voting? Btw, Piscataway won't shut down, there will be plenty of work when 46 more techs are let go
