FMC Management Please Wake Up!

Most of us have worked for FMC proudly for years. Management was appreciative and supportive of their employee’s contributions to the success of the company. In the last couple of years things have begun to change. It no longer seems that there are policies, procedures, and standards that guide our company. A prime example of this is the Facilities group! As the company continues to lay-off good, hardworking, experienced, knowledgeable people, this group seems to have a blatant disregard for what is going on around them in the company. They continue to have “Team-building” events at company expense, lunches for their team, pass their work on to others, and do not come to work consistently, yet still continue to get paid. Most would say this is stealing money from the company! Yet HR and the facilities manager seem to turn a blind eye to what is going on. It is hard to believe that a facilities person could do their work from home. You would think they would need to be on-site to do their work effectively.

If we have people that don’t even need to be at work to do their job, maybe we are paying them too much or we don't even need that position. Use that money to save someone’s job that is actually working for the company’s success.

To those of us that continue to work hard for the company’s success, this kind of blind eye brings low morale and a spread of discontent that is unhealthy for any company. It is time for upper management to manage and bring back standards and pride to our company.

I'd like to see those techs at GP keep the old machines at Gears up to par. The don't have a clue what's up. Besides standing around with nothing to do. This site is about layoffs... we're waiting on that worthless crew to get skimmed out. They've been trying hard to "look" busy lately, unless they are sitting in a so called "meeting" . Or hanging out in the short "hallway of deplorables" in S01. Tick toc kids... get your resumes updated. Shouldn't take ya long. Considering..... lol

The lady in Facilities at Gears would get rid of that entire bunch out at GP if she was allowed. She, like most don't play the games that that bunch does. She has more class. And also she works and not from home while babysitting her baby. Maybe she can teach the military girls at GP what managing people and motivating people looks like in the real civilian world. Actually, her and the IST lady could have kicked a-- and not taken a name or blinked an eye. I hope we don't lose her. Good luck to us all, while the layoffs continue. Watch you backs, certain people are out for themselves and will say and do whatever it takes to keep their so called rank. What about the over the limit aged lady still there bossing everyone around. Can't they force her into retirement? Ohhh, she reports to that worthless Facility "clan" at GP. We will see how much longer she is safe.

Update: The creepy guy that hits on every lady in Generation Park is the maintenance supervisor, and he is in charge of quite a crew. How did we get stuck with these so called Techs?They are in meetings and hanging out all day.Don't they have work to do?

I used to work at Gears and those guys were quite professional and hard working folks. We need that Lady Manager from Gears to clean this place up.She's tough and the only good manager out of the whole facilities bunch.

And I never see her with the "Gang", that's gotta be good.

The whole lot of facilities is worthless. All can go and we'd be better off for it. I have never in my life attempted to work with such awful, lazy and un-collaborative people. They seriously do not care about the people in this company.

These left over managers will get theirs. They are far from the Technip culture. People will see straight through their a-- kissing and fake personalities. Karma ain't nice to destructive people. We can't wait for a Farwell party for the facility manager clowns.

There are some really evil and deceitful people heading the FMC Technologies organization at the moment. Hopefully for those still there Technip will see it for what it is and put a stop to it. Meanwhile, don't give up hope and remember that "In the end, good things come to nice people"

HR sold out a long time ago . When you go up there and look at all the thankyous that the managers give to the so called hr . The only job that can do nothing and get paid for it . The most the hr does is hand out cards for you to call someone to do their. job gone to sh--

HR covers up dirt instead of getting rid of it! They are afraid of losing their job even though they don't do their job either. Doesn't FMC get it EVERYONE sees this and all it does is encourage others to do the same thing!

Correction on the IST Manager. She wasn't "fired" she was asked to be removed from the FMC contract by a couple of the Military girls in Facilities. Sad state of affairs. The IST Lady was a big part of resourcefulness for the company in terms of support and great service. We all will miss her and wish her the best. What an injustice to her and the great team she managed. This is the behavior and management tactics of the Facilities department. The facility cronies didn't care for her, she wasn't a part of their "group" and didn't kiss their asses. This isn't the military, it's a corporation. Get rid of these "desk flyers" , and watch your backs with them. They're nice to your face but have a knife in your back. We all pray they are removed. Technip doesn't play that way!

The "facilities gang" is there, these 5 or 6 people are all buddies helping each other on new roles within the company. They took the opportunity of this brand new site to do wathever they want. How HR is allowing this is beyond me.

And who is this crazy guy with a cast on his leg that seems to be on drugs all the time?hitting on every lady and spending his days on the cafe. I see him with the "gang" quite often.

I have been quiet long enough, so I would like to add to this comment. The girl from IST was let go because she was not part of "The facilities gang". She was fired because she was a good worker and expected people to do their job and the only thing she was guilty of was she made them look bad because she worked. They covered for each other and let their "positions" go to their heads. They have a position and not a job! This has been going on for 2 years and nobody wants to say anything because if they do - the same thing will happen to them that happened to the IST girl! What happened to FMC's "Core values? Is management scared that they will lose their job too? Everyone sees this, just too scared to say anything for fear of retailation. What a disappointment in FMC and do we have a HR department? Where are they?

Good write up! To add to that, the cover ups in that department are horrendous. The spending is out of control, the missing work is covered by the mangers in that department., AND HR ! Some don't even have any PTO and are taking days or "working from home" . They take work from others in Office Services to save the job of another that SHOULD BE RETIRED! What gives! That department, for some reason has been untouchable. Who's covering for all this? And the hard working are layed off that have families to feed. Kiss asses are what that group is! I can't wait for that regime to go down! One person in particular doesn't even have the experience to have been hired in that department, yet they were friends with a manager to get hired, take all the time off, work from home, leave early almost daily. Technip will have this group by the balls, they are over staffed and continue to spend spend spend! And yes, this behavior has taken down the moral of many. So sad.

You know it's hard for management to wake up when they spend the whole day in their office sleeping because that's what you got to be doing is sleeping because you have no idea what's going on and these pointless SQDC MEETINGS are a JOKE!!! They are Just as lame and out of touch as the individuals that put them together its idiocracy at its best and if you've been to one of these meetings you know exactly what I mean because when you hear him talk it's like he's trying to convince himself that he's doing a good job douchebag
