Well, here we are just about to start the new year, and it feels a little like 2016 continued. I have heard from a really good source that this year will be full of surprises. Departments that are barely getting by now, will be crushed by these layoffs. I am trying to stay optimistic, but I am so tired of fearing for my job everyday of my life. Let me know if you hear anything different because I really want to know if this nonsense will ever end. Thanks everyone. Good luck, and keeps those rsumes updated!

Never say never, but I will not go back. Those that say we didnt add value to the company...you dont have a clue of the metrics behind the layoffs. The crocodile supervisor who is hurt by these comments: grow a pair and speak up to management about the poor vision of staff utilization.
The truth is always harsh, Devon IT Supervisor. Try not to spend ALL of your huge ill-gotten paycheck at the strip club.
As a Devon supervisor, it hurts my feelings every time I come on here and read such harsh comments.
Job security is a figment of your imagination. It doesn't matter what industry you are in. We are all equally worthless in the eyes of corporate America.
Cover your bases and find employment in a different field. I did and and while I make a little less money, the serenity of job security is worth it.
Not adding value to the company....LOL...that's more than half of Devon employees. The worst offenders are supervisors, managers, directors, executive level. Devon got rid of the worker bee and kept the s--- up useless slackers. Sad.
If you aren't adding value to the company you'll be gone. The PMO office is going to get hit with significant cuts. No projects
Sad, Devon used to be a great company .
They were the last of the people notified in February.
I heard they just laid off some people in Accounting.
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.....
