BoD Overtime

Which group of employees work the most overtime? And how do the hours worked equate to productivity? Research has shown that working long hours can have a detrimental effect on productivity. In other words those who work 50+ hours per week can be less productive than their colleagues who work 40 hours per week.

MPP, you might work 84 hrs per week when you are offshore but then you have 2 - 4 weeks onshore when you are not working. I am talking about those who work 50-60 hours per week, every week. As so eloquently put by the previous post, they are doing it for the money, but they are not the most productive. And useless managers can't see what us going on in front if their own eyes!

Offshore we work +84 hours per week, since last year we are more productive than ever. Your research maybe to be right but depends of the industry. All the best from North Sea platform.
