so id two of our key "SMACS" tlast year was to growth own brands and digital, why has Brandon fired our own brand teams (third year in a row) and most of the digital online team!. Probably upset because he's not getting $18m like last year!!

300 jobs were lost "only" 250 got severance package some of the people that got laid off were in company 35 and 40 years they were given 20 minutes to pack up and get off premises
And if they could they would outsource everything but the merchant team to India I believe.
After all the H1b controversy I absolutely hate the company for what it stands and how it treats people. The guys at the top keep getting nice fat bonuses and then when it's f---ed up enough go on to do the same at another company often because of their network - good old boys network
I personally think its was age, salary cap and they wanted to clean house of the people who old school under Storch who'd been there for 10s of years. People who knew what worked and didn't
ToysRUs will die, it's following the same path as sports authority and others. My son outgrew ToysRUs a long time ago and shops for himself on Amazon. He would be seen dead at ToysRUs

It was 3 days of torture. VP/Directors including most of the talented, smart and progressive people. It is hard to decipher if the layoffs were based on length of service, salary cap or failure to meet SMAC . Cheers to Toysrus for also diminishing their loyalty customer base. each family impacted = lost of many of their customers. Amazon, Target, Walmart, bye bye baby and most of their competitors will continue to win in their dwindling market space and would be more than willing to hire their talent.
