Don't have numbers...but more layoffs today. This follows a trading halt and buyback yesterday. Trying to get sense of numbers right now. I do know of some staff but have no information on teachers or if campuses are closing.

@LT0TgAU-1ili there were layoffs last week. Seems like you are the idiot.
consistently delivering value to our shareholders....could mean anything...good value, bad value...what value? Why talk so foolishly---be specific, rather than completely vague.
consistently delivering value to our shareholders....means nothing to anyone
It's why for profit colleges are a bad thing. Not surprised at this corporate attempt at valuation. Sad really.
@LT0TgAU-1vry, YES! I read this aloud to my coworkers the other day, and I pointed out that we're only concerned about value to our shareholders. Not our students, not our customers, but our shareholders. That explains everything!
Definition of b---s---: Lisa Wardell, President and CEO of DeVry Education Group had the following to offer on the reason for trading halt (share buyback)..."The significant expansion of our share repurchase program reflects our improved financial performance and our board's confidence in our strategic direction as well as our focus on delivering increased returns to our owners... We remain committed to balancing our capital allocation efforts with the goal of enhancing academic quality, supporting our growth objectives and consistently delivering value to our shareholders." Return to our OWNERS--love it!
Twenty-six Home Office positions were eliminated and the responsibilities were shuffled around, resulting in a new org chart. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the stock trading halt, but I'm keeping an eye out for more information.
