Thread regarding DeVry Inc. layoffs

Engagement scores?

Did anyone else find out their department engagement scores? Ours was really low I think the lowest I've ever seen (50s).

The company is setting itself up for a massive reduction in faculty. Enrollments continue to drop across the board for all units and bankruptcy is getting closer.

Does anyone know more about the 26 layoffs at the Home Office yesterday?

I question it being that high in our dept. Everyone I talked to said they gave horrible scores. So either they are lying or the company calculating it isn't truthful.

Ha! Our scores are great. We all just give fake high scores wo we don't have to deal with punitive improvement plans.

How is it a lot worse now? --it was already a snappy situation--everyone trying to look good by passing the blame game around to the next person. I'm not going to tolerate being called on the carpet for foolish initiatives that fall flat, even with all-out effort. Do those scores really matter? Why?

We were not given our scores but my boss said they were abysmal and he is afraid that it will reflect badly on him even though he is definitely not the problem.

My colleagues discussed their answers after it was all over and we all gave lower ratings than ever before. We do not appreciate the way we are being treated and it is already getting a lot worse even since Nov session.
