If the option comes to you to stay with Kellogg's with the much smaller snacks organization, would you stay??

CONTRACT? CONTRACT? You mean like the ones that the union dcs have? Lol lol lol Kelloggs apparently doesn't honor Contracts! They just tell you here is your severance (if you have any) and offer you a "stay bonus" that's going to be have to used for health care. I gave this company 35 yrs of my assbusting best, only to get kicked to the curb! NEVER AGAIN! And no I still can't retire due to their lack of respect for the people who got their stock from 23 a share to 75. SCREW THEM!
I would accept a position temporarily to give me time to get the hell out. This company is failing. They will bastardize the DSD brands and run them into the ground. The management is clueless all the way to John Bryant. Going warehouse will change nothing. In a year they will change things again only to find they the new strategy that has failed. Everything they touch turns to sh--. They used to be the number one cereal - past tense.
Only way I stay is if it's a 5 year...or more guaranteed contract.
I assure you, anyone taking the new position will go through this same experience next year. Why? The company will realize they have a snacks rep AND a cereal rep in the same stores. So once again they will cut the work force.
At that time, the retention package will not be as favorable as it is now. Stay at your own risk.
My true hope is everyone who has been left go by Kelloggs these past few years, are able to unite their friends and family as well as their friends and families and so on and hurt Kelloggs bottom line. Let's show them the true power of DSD and make their "house" crumble to the ground.
Yes I would
I have to say that I am praying that there is a position left for me. While I understand the anger, and am going through the issues myself, I have a family to feed. Things are just crazy right now.
Why on the conference call would we be told August??? After being screwed over for so many years you would think they would finally be honest with us!
Hell NO!
PTM here, used to bust my a-- everyday, work back stock and all, last shift I did bare minimum, was supposed to build cheezit endcap at Kroger, f--- that sh-- from now on, what are they gonna do FIRE me? And if I accidentally body slam a few cases of cheezits, oh well, enjoy your cheezit dust you inbred Walmart shopper! And on Saturday I think I'll sit in my car and relax while I'm supposed to work back stock, oh yeah!
No. They don't deserve "help" during their transition. The upper management should go back in the field to remember what it was like to bust tail and still have a company that isn't satisfied.
Trust!!! The big issue I have would be trust. How can anyone work for this company after the cold conference call. Putting my personal feelings aside, my heart goes out to all my co-workers and fellow Elf's across the country. Hang in there and know "what goes around, comes around!"
How long would they offer and keep the position. Is it just another bone dangling for a few more months. Would they be willing to offer a long-term contract, stating my job is secure for as long as I do my job? Or, will it be half the wages I am already making? My salary is "not" the going rate for the hours I put in, especially where I live, which is why I strived to make my bonus. I have given years to Kelloggs, only to find in the end it didn't matter. If there are going to be any jobs offered to stay with the Kelloggs I'm sure it will go to those in Management positions. Therefore my answer would be NO!
no way, and at the end of the severance package, I'm going to bang them on unemployment, am also going to let Nabisco take as much of our space as they want. screw these greedy bastards.going to dump my stock this week.
Nope. Jumping ship. PTM here so my hours are already being butchered as it is. So off to a new job I go.
Nope. I have a job lined up and I'm going to milk this financial cow to the end while doing nothing to help this companies bottom line.
