Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

If the "average" yearly technician salary is $40,000, the salaries of 770 technicians would match what Dexter Goei paid for his home. DAMN !!!

For those who familiar with this information then there's no need to read further. Mind you, what happens with Altice does not affect me at all. But I find it strange how Altice is looking to cut down, or renegotiate your salaries, and here's your new "boss" spending $31 million on his new "hangout". To give you a "small idea" of the insult to your injury he is inflicting upon YOU.... then how's this for simple math: if an "average" yearly technician salary is assumed to be $40,000, you would need the salaries of 770 technicians to match what he paid for his new home. SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY !! That's The Bronx AND Brooklyn depots.... at least TWICE!!! Jesus !!! The hypocrisy of it all. You tell everyone to get used to eating canned food, while you enjoy steak dinners.

For those who wish to visit and say "hi" to their new boss, the address is given below.

Telecom hotshot Dexter Goei has been thinking big of late. In June, the Netherlands-based company he heads bought Cablevision for $17.7 billion. And a month earlier, Goei stealthily bought a five-story multifamily building in Greenwich Village with plans to convert it into a mega-mansion.

Property documents show that it was Goei, using an LLC, who purchased the 11,000-square-foot Greenwich Village property at 138 West 11th Street for $31 million in May from Enrique and Katherine Alonso, both top executives at SJP Properties TRData LogoTINY. The couple bought the property for $19 million in 2014 and planned to restore the 10-unit multifamily building to two separate townhouses, which had been its original design.

The building, between 6th and 7th avenues, is down the block from Sarah Jessica Parker’s proposed megamansion at 273-275 West 11th Street. Parker bought the two adjacent townhouses for $34.5 million in June.

The renovation at 138 West 11th Street is estimated to cost $1.3 million (which sounds low) and the architect of record is Arcologica.

Suddenlink has taken a real hit as well. Many employees commissions cut in half over night. Down south we get lower hourly with higher commission but when you cut commission in half! Many people have lost over 2grand a month in commissions and are on the verge of lousing their homes!
