My opinion:
The only thing great about Enbridge is the amount of money it pays compared to other industries. It is nothing that stands out about Enbridge at all, or anything that says “I want to spend the rest of my career with this company.” Get your experience, and move on. The management is horrible in every way possible. I’m a full time employee, but the way they treat contractors is ridiculous. It’s no respect, no communication; you are just sitting there looking like a mannequin. That trickles down to how the full time employees treat contractors. 95% of the time they have no clue what is going on, because 1. They are left out of meetings. 2. Management doesn’t speak to them. 3. Nobody cares for them. When asked “Why aren’t contractors more involved with the process Enbridge is making?” The response is “They are contractors.” But the same people who are contractors are the same people who have responsibilities, also a family just like you and I. I guess I just feel sorry for them, because I see so many contractors working so hard as if they were full time employees. To be really honest majority of the contractors are better employees than the full time employees. I wonder how it will be when management at Enbridge meets with managers at Spectra. It will be like a Steelers vs Ravens football game.
