The boycott numbers should not be confused with the trend in the marketplace of consumers walking away from traditional snacks (junk food) and moving to better marketed "natural", "organic", or "healthy" junk foods - that sometimes actually are not junk (seaweed crisps). Just as my daughter and son in their 30's many consumers of this generation have changed the habits of consumers away from cookies and box cereals towards alternative snacking and breakfast foods.
Shoprite had chips deluxe $1.88 each Nabisco had chips ahoy $2.99 I bought Chips Ahoy!
boycott sucessfull in my household! Have not purchased our products in weeks! Never will!
I've been in the food business for decades and many years with Kellogg. This has been a long time coming for dsd snacks. The business as a whole, competitors and customers, has changed and will continue to change. In fact, I know someone who, 25 years ago, had the same career as me with a competitor and made another 60% (with bonus) on top of what I've made for the past 5-8 years. This is a larger issue. Kellogg is a public company. This is what public companies do to maintain their growth model and stock value. Kellogg is doing that. In spite of how my loss of a long career is very concerning and will more than likely (given my age and replacement career outlook) diminish my ability to retire, I cant blame the company. To reinstate, this is a larger issue. A societal one. Lest I write a book here, good luck to all future, former Kellogg employees. All 7,000 of us (only my estimate for the current transition).

More corporate greed as companies expect more and more work hours while paying less and less, while promoting banal company slogans i.e. "K Values" that would do George Orwell proud.

Whoever is blaming Trump is dumb as a rock. This was started way before last year before Trump was involved. This is just another phase of cost cutting that started several years ago. It's been nothing but take take take, cut cut cut from the work force for several years. The scum bag CEO will still take his 10 million bonus in stocks however.
I was also one of the ones who left last spring. I was asked to step down, and take half my salary, I said f--- off and took my severance. I had 11 years with Kelloggs, a college degree, 2 time manger of the year, and trained multiple interns, had almost zero issues with stores, employees loved working for me, and routinely acted as second DM behind the scenes helping my fellow reps constantly, and went 10 years without a sick day. Leaving was the best decision ever, I had my personal life back. Don't get me started on "K VALUES", lol.
This was a bomb waiting to happen. I went through their last restructure and it was the same sh--, outsourcing help, cutting costs, losing to our competitors at account level, sh--ty product innovation, consolidating distribution centers, jamming trucks. There was just nothing left to trim to pad their numbers to Wall Street.
If they don't sell to another dsd company, they will get their a-- kicked at store level, shelves will be empty and their competitors will win. Or is this just a ploy to start from scratch all over, restarting their pay structure for reps and destroying driver's unions. Who knows?
Trump had nothing to do with these layoffs. I lost my job with Kelloggs last year because of poor upper management with raising prices downsizing product refusing to pay for displays and total greed at the top.The top have been filling their pockets at the expense of the workers who make the money in this company if anyone should be fired from Kelloggs it should be from the top. These guys at the top should be ashamed of themselves for the was they treat their workers and the way they have run this company for the last 10 years.
Mr trump and his crew is the reason why this happened silly people. breit bart told people to boycott the company creating this problem!!! good job America.
