Thread regarding Kellogg Co. layoffs

Incompetent Middle Sales Management

The unfortunate conclusion for hard working people at a company who abuses their work force and disregards customer needs and requests. I am a former RSM who left Kellogg;s after the transition began last Spring. After working for several DSD companies in my career, I spent six years witnessing horrible management strategies and decisions. DMs used fear to motivate the sales force, threatening to work us seven days per week and asking us to make written statements that we were working 40 hours per week, when we were at 60 plus per week. I feel terrible for all my former colleagues and wish them the best of luck going forward. The growing sentiment against Kellogg's will ultimately affect consumers buying decisions. Store Management already has a dismal view of the company's business practices. I will be selling my shares of Kellogg;s stock ASAP.

I worked for Kellogg Company up until 2013. They worked us 14 to 15 hours a day with no remorse. Almost cost me my marriage when my DM started working us 6 days a week with no compensation. I chose to leave after many years of being treated that way. Sorry to hear others are facing layoffs. Once a great American company down the drain.

I have worked for kelloggs for 15 years , it is by far the worst company I have ever worked for , all they care about are the stock holders. they are doing us all a favor shutting down d s d . working here has caused me a lot of health problems. I will never buy another kelloggs product the rest of my life.

To the person who posted this .. your claims are not accurate.. I have been a "mid level" manager in the company for a number of years . Myself or any of the managers I know have never intentionally harmed our reps . As a matter of fact we work along side our employees to late at night to help make the jacked up system an come together. Any documentation requested to the reps was given to us by upper management . Myself personally worked about 12-14 hours a day and weekends also. Not all managers are bad . The system we had in place was bad and all of us are in the same boat

Kelloggs did this to themselves by slowly getting rid of seasoned reps and district managers who they thought didn't fit within their vision for the future and hired people that had no experience so they could mold them to fit the goals that they wanted to achieve. The end all started in 2005 with their vision and growth plan and has been declining ever since. What used to be a great company is now a hot mess with no change in upper management in sight.
