Thread regarding Kellogg Co. layoffs

Shutting down DSD

I have worked for Kellogg's for 15 years , it is by far the worst company I have ever worked for , all they care about are the stock holders. They are doing us all a favor shutting down DSD.

Working here has caused me a lot of health problems.

I will never buy another Kellogg's product the rest of my life.

One of the worst companies. Merchandising mangers are incompetent.maybe get rid of them and get some people who know what there doing would not be in this shape.i guess if you show up and pay the fee they will give any one a college degree

The real amount of people being let go with this transition from DSD to warehouse is being kept from the media. They are only reporting what is being cut from the 39 DC's in the country about 1,170 people. That doesn't take into account the close to 2,000 KSR's the Full Time KM's say 1,700 plus and the PTM's (thousands) and also the Merch Managers, Schedulers, and the DM's including the upper management at each region. I think we are looking at around 7,000 layoffs in total. W.K. Kellogg once said "invest in your people" he would not be pleased with this decision and this decision will cost the company more than just market share they don't realize how much work we do to sell all of these products stores will now treat these brands just like any other and not feature them as much as we were able to do. In the future I see Mondelez taking over the bulk majority of the market share thus forcing Kelloggs to start selling off brands. This is a bad decision it looks good on paper and in the financial ledger but wait and see you will miss each and every one of us when your stock price plummets and the market share you now enjoy off the hard working backs of us is gone to your competition.
