20% of XtremeIO staff were fired yesterday. FluidFS is nixed. Closed R & D center in Israel.

VMAX is chugging along now because of leadership over past few years. Nothing happens overnight . Bet XIO customers waiting for new version

It's a matter of time before XtremIO production ceases, just like DSSD D5.

No new customers are buying.

XIO, now that VMAX is all flash, is old news. XIO couldn't make a high and consistently performing system if their lives depended on it. VMAX was poorly run under Fidelma, but now that they are chugging away with all flash, there is literally no reason for an XIO box. XIO is going the way of DSSD...

XIO may not be EOL'd but business overall is way way way off. I hear suppliers are grumbling about business being down 30, 40 and even 50% from 2015/16 levels.

Lack of part numbers may say more about Dell practice. They don't seem to realize that different ones are needed for different parts. Already happening w/ some products. V confusing. So, don't read too much into that.

Likely FUD, XIO alive and well. 6 more bricks on my dock and more on the way, can't wait for version 2 later this year.

Probably just the Verison 1 units, Dell/EMC announced a new version coming during DellWorld. I am sure with all of the problems in the field it is ready to go.
