31 open positions and climbing, why dont they recall some of the terminated workers.

1 Timothy 3.5. Read it and you will understand why what Williams has done is wrong.
As an insurance policy against lawsuits , I am pretty sure most companies typically wait a while or so before rehiring after a major cutback. they don't have worry about discrimination lawsuits when they backfill with younger employees, figuring everyone has all ready moved on. That is a way costs are reduced, ruthless but effective.
I can't speak for everyone, but getting laid off was a great deal for me. Landed a better paying job and actually have a competent manager, unlike my last six months at Williams when they placed a completely unqualified guy in a management position. Seemed like a nice enough guy, but didn't know up from down.
There really aren't a lot of employees who were laid off (nearly a year ago) who want to come back. It's funny to me now on the outside how everyone griped when they worked there and now complain they aren't "called back". It's over. Move on
Thank you. Well said about the nuts. You made my day! Stay positive as well!
If your out consider yourself lucky. If your still in keep your head down and do your job. The nuts are running the nuthouse. STARTING AT THE TOP.
Talent optimization not talent gathering. Wow🐣
38 open positions and climbing including a manager of "talent acquisition" must be short of talent. Unbelievable
Dont even know why they have core values at Williams, they obviously treat their employees like a number. They are more concerned about making sure they meet their United Way Goals then taking care of the employees that they threw out in the street last year. If they really cared, they would be looking to call some of the terminated employees back. Stop pretending and be honest about it.
I think it is pretty short sighted to lay off people and lose all that talent and then when crunch time comes they cannot get the job done. I have absolutely no problem with them hiring people out of school with no experience, but there needs to be a balance. When i was at Williams top management always cried about not having the inside talent to get the job done running up large costs and overuns on projects, it is coming again,
@@LIc6nX9-4jha - No wonder they don't want you back..........
hiring for my exact position. friend on the inside still there spoke to hiring manager that came along way after the layoffs, and while they said it makes sense to callback, they instead want to hire a recent college grad. access person, wants to do it their way. all about the money. pathetic company. miss nothing about it whatsoever, just the pension credits. and f drug tests. smoke my medicine every day freely now at my new job! progress.
Too funny, made my day. Tulsa is a a center of excellence. That is even funnier than the soon to be closed down OKC design center of excellence- GC 15. RLMFAO. Ha Ha
RLMFAO When poster mentoined that Tulsa was center of excellence, just too funny, even funnier than the OkC design excellence GC15 center that is closing up shop. HA HA HA.
An earlier poster was not kidding, they really do have Tulsa departments that proclaim themselves "Center of Excellence". Maybe they are leading the way?
Getting rid of pete would be a heck of a start towards efficiency.
They have Pete. What else could they possibly need?
They don't care about the employees they discarded last year, true colors are showing.
Access has taken over Williams. The last thing they want is more Willams people back in the fold.
