Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Trump's H1B Visa Reform and Tariff will impact Fossil?

The message to all the people were laid off was that people can not get their severance package/money until they train their Indian counterpart in IT. How is that legal?

Make's me sick to my stomach.

There is no vision or success in that for US Company. I hope your reading this, CIO Ed and VP Robert .

Fossil is one of the biggest abusers of the VISA program and needs to be investigated and heavily fined for it.

Many of the Infosys folks assigned to work at Fossil were already in the US on work visas for other assignments including some for petroleum engineering that had nothing to do with Fossil and Information Technology. There were only assigned to keep the visa's active and the Infosys employees were told that they would be sent home if the did not pretend to be qualified. Fossil IT Management was well aware of this and hid behind the statement that we can't tell them how to do their jobs.

Isn't Trump getting rid of these ridiculous Visas?

$130k minimum (if Google/FB/MS don't "influence" anyone) will be great. A small consolation for those that were "no longer needed". Last year Infosys had 25k+ of the 65k H1B Visas, with an average of 84k (#1 holder of Visa holders, #2 was 8,000+ below them) -- for reference.
