Can't share too much, but after the new year I saw some reviews and the general message was that for the number of rigs currently operated at Devon there is going to have to be some more slimming of technical staff

Stack is stronger of course, than last year. However they are picking low-hanging fruit left by the real E&P company that we paid a pretty penny for the assets. Devon is no longer an "exploration" company. They are a real estate holding company.
I agree...but I would predict sometime in 2018 for layoffs. Permian is imploding slowly.
