EIS to layoff 360 American workers on 3/31

360 employees were told in October that they were being laid off in EIS as of March 31st. For the next two months our job is to train our offshore replacements. HR has made us sign legal documents agreeing to not discuss any of this in public so as to not impact profits or worry any of our existing and potential customers. In return, we get a severance. After decades of building the products that will now be offshored to India. This is a disgraceful way to treat employees. It is also a stab in the back to the customers who have stayed with us these many years. They are being lied to by executives who are more interested in lining their own pockets than providing safe and dependable software. How many more patients will die due to McKesson stupidity?

Prevailing theory is after the sale of EIS to an India company occurs in the April to June timeframe, EIS American workers will be let go and there will be no severance given by the India company. MCK wins all around- out of the EHR business and did not have to pay severance and you can bet the India company won't pay severance.

Is there any information on whether more EIS employees will be let go other than the rumored 360 employees notified for the 3/31 dismissal?

Paragon management is making the exact same bad decisions as HzERM. It is kind of surreal reading the HzERM posts. Paragon can be divided into two groups - the people who make the decisions and the people who know what is going on.

The point about HzERM was correct. The management that destroyed HzERM through their utter stupidity are in the process of destroying what was once a potentially competitive product. And they keep adding on to the layers of middle managers with people who have NO idea how to do software development. It's all about the MIPs. More Indians mean more MIPs. And that is all that matters.

HzERM has been long dead... the current sinking ship is Paragon

It's nothing surprising.... The customers and hospitals need to know what is exactly going on with McKesson's corruption. No customer wants to buy this defective product originally sent to India to develop (HzERM). It's why hospitals have left, and for the better. They know this product has sunk.

McKesson could have succeeded in this Industry, but they were too aggressive with deadlines, and pushing defective code out the door, when QA told them the red flags, but all we got back was "It's working as designed". Until the customers reported the problems, then management demanded immediate hot fix solutions.

Customers know better that this company left them high and dry. They were smart to leave. No competitor wants to buy this mess, because the customers are coming to them in waves.

Good luck India... You deserve what's coming your way... You have no clue.... You started the mess in 2000 with a failed product called HzERM. You deserve the hell this disgusting management team will unleash upon you. Just wait. You will see......
