Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

For the first time in 16 years -and to my best knowledge- there are no HP/HPE products at home, or at the homes of my sons and closest friends.

No printers; no inks; no paper; no laptops; no tablets; no business phones; no nothing. I wonder how many people that have been laid off in the last years have done the same, and have advocated for any brands other than HP/HPE.

For printer to die or run out of toner. Then it's curtains-not one more HPE/HP device.

HP monitors still kick a--. All other consumer products though.. blegh, not for me. They do a great job reinforcing that by giving us the sh--tiest laptops to work with.

My HP AIO Printer was given away, along with a healthy stock of free inkjet carts. I have a great Dell multi-function color laser printer - works great and has cheap third party toner carts.

Epson printer and Dell laptop for personal use. Lenovo laptop and Canon laserjet for my business.

One friend of mine (CIO at a small Company), recently told me that he prefers to pay more, and get HPE products through a reseller/partner than directly from HPE. His reason is that it's much easier to deal with the reseller when it comes to support, than to deal with a support team in HPE - which he described as "mission impossible". He says Dell has been very aggressive lately in capturing that small business market.
