Take a look at Trump's choice to lead the DOE. She's an exponent of school vouchers and charter schools. My sense is that corporate America has largely bid adios to college level for profit schools and instead is now focusing on elementary and high schools where there's not so much push back. If government passes Common Core, then corporate America has a clear path.
Once they've established themselves in these early grades, then they'll take another look at Higher Ed.
I haven't yet read the article but I've long suspected this is what corporate education is up to.
