@KvXHAI5-7obx: That's one of the reasons why we're seeing so many good people choose to leave of their own accord. McK is a business school case study in how to not run a successful company. The president of EIS is a perfect example. He excels at using smoke and mirrors to talk about how we're on target for new sales, but then misdirects when someone asks him how many new names are in those new sales. This leadership team now has dozens of Tata 'experts' in the organizational structure. It's nearly impossible to find the names of FTEs anymore.
The future is crystal clear: Replace large groups of skilled employees with TCS contractors team by team. In March we'll lose about a quarter of our staff. The smart money is betting that the RIF won't be limited to folks who were given five months notice either.
TCS is working behind the scenes to learn our applications as much as possible. And what is most outrageous is that employees are actually TRAINING them voluntarily! Even on the web applications. They make us look like a bunch of fools.
Yes, Thanksgiving week. I don't have a problem with layoffs in general, or RIF, I think we all know that is sometimes necessary for a company to survive. However, I do have a problem with the way McK does it. They let key people go without a backup plan, just to save a dollar. Then re-hire more people making more money. Doesn't make sense to me at all. I'm afraid of the after shock and what impact it has on customers.

I have heard of a few as of Dec 1st. They found out Thanksgiving week. Odd time, but who knows.
