I needed to vent here a bit as there are many rumors and (maybe lies) about layoffs in Richardson.

One suggestion to fossil: we should consider offering voluntary retirement scheme to employees if we are going to do a layoff next time, which is probably very soon as the new structure WILL NOT work. such scheme would be good as the company have laid off staff that has passion for the company, and the left overs probably don't want to be here anyways. There is no longer any hearts left

It is very unfortunate and completely avoidable to have the situation today. TThe company decided to take direction that deviates from its core, the starting of SWiss, failed, acquisition of Skgen, the brand is nowhere now, wearable, non starter, no matter how much news fossil tries to release, putting your new products on discounts are justness non sense. There is no strategy. THe acquisition of MISFIT, has been a complete misfit. He technology s---s and failed. And now the new so called craft brands? Gonna be another joke.

If you keep doing things that's deviating form your core, you will fail. And the share price is not gonna to be bright even though you hired McKinsey to write PR script for you

Stinkers

Fossil needs to realize their layoffs include people who believe in the company and in the brand. Good people who are devastated by the job loss after years of loyalty and never a "thank you" for their work and late hours. It appears that loyalty to this company is not appreciated. Very sad and strange. Workers who were kept have been there one to two years.

Look people it's no secret that HR is: not Human and they're not Resourceful.

Bottom line: HR is in place to protect the company from YOU, the employees.

Never ever complain to them. No company likes a dissident and that's what you'll be labeled.

Fossil HR tells Kosta EVERYTHING that is said by ANYONE who goes to them. Truth.

HR is a joke at that place and the training group is a clueless as well (and their training is laughable at best)!

Agreed... HR IS A COMPLETE JOKE! for those who got laid off, you dodged a bullet. Hope you all find something more worth your while and advances your career instead of the deadend that was Fossil.

repost HR is a joke up in that place. When you can't put out inter-department training docs without their approval but a review stands when your supervisor tells you they gave you a bad review because they don't like you personally? Something ain't right. They're part of what's broken there.

Interesting how some people who still work at Fossil are on vacation during a these layoff days. Freaking cowards. Don't want to see the lives they destroy so minus as well take off a few days.

The ones left to deal with this mess will wish they were let go. I wouldn't breath any sighs of relief if you're still working for this awful company.

Can confirm lots of stores closed at the end of the year (around 30 in dec) more to come. And layoffs end tomorrow from what I heard. This last round at least had some vps and directors - just think they got some of the wrong ones...

Bring on in JCP and Guess folk, and these miscellaneous too-high paid top dogs with ZERO people skills; Kosta, and his board of rude old schoolers, gets what they deserve which just might be company failure.

Kosta NEVER learned it takes more than cool product to keep his company going--but great talent, young AND old! -- based on his mood, he treats employees like third rate replaceables.

He belittles, disrespects and tossed aside employees because his people skills are atrocious!! And he taught his new mgmt to do the same. Shame shame.

I wouldn't want to be associated with what is left of Fossil after this. What a shady a-- company that is going down now full of shady a-- people that screwed those over who helped build it. I'll be laughing when the company closes up shop or gets sold.

Shady sh*t, walking away from almost 20 stores overnight. Leaving the store teams holding the bag.

All the people that got laid off don't deserve what is happening to them. Don't forget they are put into these positions by the top management.

Word has it that layoffs will start on 1-9-17. Prepare for part-time. Word has it that the board wants Kosta to resign.

That's correct. Only part time is allowed so that they don't have to pay severance when laying people off. Back end functions have been out sourced. Unfortunately those highly paid non productive people are still there that's why they need to lay off cheap labours and make real workers suffer
