Has the layoff been announced - I am referring to layoffs in Houston.

What happened to safety. I dont see them anymore. They let go the safety people that actually cared about the company and the safety of thier employees.
But they can keep 3 SVP's (ROV, AI & Business Development) throughout the whole of 2016 so they can 'earn' their Stock Options in December. None of the three positions did any real work during the year, but they can lay off a worker with 27 years service in just a day. Then they wonder why morale is so poor.
Flyindeep that is terrible! OII is not the company it used to be. The good people are mostly gone. Wasted money on buying new companies with no value. Any upswing will be difficult due to lack of experience left. C suite can't do the work if it ever comes back...they are killing this company.
I was layed off October 2015, with no warning and in the same 30 second phone call my medical benefits were cut the same day. I requested payroll to pay all of any applicable taxes to the state that I reside in. They did not pay my SDI. A total of 27 years with OI. I know that I was stabbed in the back by someone.
So true.........the Company is called Oceaneering in name only, the culture, everything has changed.......thanks to the Baker Boys!
Oceaneering isn't the company it was. You have people stealing hours now and have no worry of losing their job, why because they have kissed up and have so much dirt on people for not doing their job. Pretty sad when you have pastors stealing hours from Oceaneering and no one bats an eye. Backstabbing and cutting the throats of the people who actually work just so they can survive the layoffs and continue to not work and steal hours. Getting laid off from this company would be a blessing in disguise it's going under quickly. No profit in two years.

Oceaneering doesn't announce layoffs even though any other respectable company does
Upper management and all of the naughty girls who kept their jobs doing you know what and are dumb as rocks need to be cut

They don't announce them. The only heads up you get is when you're driving through the gate and see extra security around.
