True to Greenberg's insatiable quest to put more money in his pocket, Chubb has announced it will phase out the Chubb retiree health plan by 2026, This was one of the benefits that Henry Harder made sure was available to dedicated Chubb long term employees. So, one more example of how the current day Chubb management just doesn't care about anyone except cut throat survival in the "new" Chubb. Greenberg stole the Chubb name, is gutting former Chubb employees and creating a no support atmosphere to try to be better than his father.

Wrong- the retirement health benefit ended for all new chubb employees 20 years ago. A joke how costly that benefit continues to be.
I am a current long term employee at "Chubb". This company is now a disaster. Expected to work 24/7 with terrible computer equipment and unuser friendly work sites. I am NO longer proud to be a Chubb employee. Over run by Ace bull. Greedy people run this Company....Terrible!
I would never recommend anyone to this Company as is currently, I be doing them a dis service. UNHAPPY EMPLOYEE!!
Has anyone tested the waters on a possible class action for the retiree health benefits? I realize that benefits are subject to change, but that was one of the incentives that were offered for staying so long. I am just wondering if it might not be possible for just the retirees who had already left the company, and had considered that benefit in their retirement calculations, might have a leg to stand on. When I retired, I had that benefit. Can they come along after the fact and lawfully change it?
After spending over 25 years at Chubb nice way to stick it to all the loyal employees who stayed there because of this benefit. Too bad we can't file a class action suit to get it back. Nice to see corporate greed in action again by the Greenbergs.
I totally believe a consultant went to all the trouble of finding this site. Try bitter ex employee who got the boot earlier than he expected.
I was also a consultant at Chubb. I was shocked at how antiquated the systems were and how little work the employees had to do. IT was laughable with the workload.
I was a consultant at Chubb in 2015-part of 2016. I was stunned at how many employees basically did nothing and had immensely inflated jobs. They filled their days up with useless meetings to show how busy they were, thought they were entitled and indispensable and had no idea what things were like out in the real world, where innovative and lean companies not only survive but thrive. Many aspects of their business process and infrastructure (both internal and external) were antiquated and convoluted. Chubb employees who coasted for years deserved exactly what they got!
That aged workforce got things done smoothly and with minimal disruption. That is unlike the throw it out there and see what happens ace mentality.
What did Chubb legacy employees think was going to happen once Ace bought the company? Chubb was a country club for an aged workforce. Good luck everyone in your new jobs.
That pretty much sums it up. Right now, there are many legacy Chubb employees who are still getting a little honeymoon. The home headquarters building has now officially been closed, and all remaining staff have been scattered to one of four branch offices. Very few legacy Chubb employees will be left within a few years whether they think so or not. All of IT have been given only temporary seating in the new corporate headquarters complete with lockers for putting any belongings they may bring to the workplace with them. The same is true with any outside vendors who provide service to the company.
Stay tuned. I'll be working there until the end of February 2017. After that, I'll have very few contacts to tell me what's going on!
It's now ace crap under the Chubb name. Do they really believe no one will notice. Good job Finny!
Long term employee loyalty and commitment don't matter to Evan or Senior Chubb Management. Evan has turned over the reins to Senior Management who were trying to destroy everything Chubb stood for in the past. They have now succeeded.
Horrible Moral. Unrealistic expectations and a 24/7 work or there's the door mentality in the claim department are resulting in anyone who can leave or retire to exodus the Titanic.
AON are pulling business as fast as they can at renewal. There is no longer a "Chubb Difference".
Underwriters are moving and taking business with them.
Don't worry, Trumpcare is coming and all retiree's will be expected to join.
