Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

Expats and Sauditization

Aramco is laying off expats and replacing them with Saudis. It will be a real disaster for the Company. Sauditization does not work and will not work.

This is very well known in the company, but management is following top level management orders.

The actual Saudi Aramco does not have a stable working environment for western expats and if you are so unlucky to have a weird manager or supervisor, they will make your life miserable.

It's called Saudization and it started in the mid-80s. It's their oil; they should be able to administer their oil program however they see fit. They started using larger numbers of TWNs to cut their costs. If it doesn't work, they will lose massive oil revenue and the expats will be back. They need be allowed to find out for themselves. There have certainly been enough Saudis sent over here to be educated in the US that they ought to have some capable people in place by now.
