I have noticed a number of long-time staffers leaving in recent weeks. One is senior level HR rep, one a Sr. level acct'ing supervisor in the Budget & Planning group, and one a long-time experienced marketer for the Permian Basin. Each was a 20-30 year supervisor or higher. What's up? House-cleaning at the end of the year?

Those who are let go fit into one of the following three categories.....male, white, over age 50. The majority of them fit into at least two of the three, while many of them fit into all three categories.
I see jobs open for an extended period of time. Good luck getting those 1,000 good people back. My friends have left o&g. Their swan song to O&G goes like this:
Hit the road, jack and dont cha come back
No more, no more, no more, no more.
Devon is still in cutback mode.
They are letting their experienced people go and keeping the people that fit the mold.

Devon is making certain that they surround themselves with the lest qualified people they can find, looks like they want to fail.
Hire more temps, fire you experienced people , hell of a plan.
