I was a 12 year employee with no discipline issues. I was thanked for my 12 years of loyal service, then told the company was moving in a different direction and that I no longer fit the culture. Classic BS line. The truth is that I had a month vacation and was making 4 doliars an hour more than they wanted to pay. I was spit out at the end off the month with no severance and my families insurance expired 2 days later.....Why would anyone think that Textron is a good company or that they care for the employees? The truth is they are only concerned about the bottom line, everyone and everything else is expendable....

Textron is an East Coast liberal outfit. They build planes that corrode and send all the work they can to China and Mexico. They are doing the engineering in India. In reality, they should not be considered an American company. The Cessna "Sky Catcher" says it all folks.
I worked at Textron and they were great !They sold it to Collins and Aikman ,and that was the worst place I ever worked, then they went out of business a tornado came through and blew half the town away! I worked there for 23 1/2 years. I had no write ups at all. They sent work to Mexico

Need to start layoffs at the top, thats were the big bucks go. The little man on the bottom makes pennies compared to upper management. The little guys are the ones that help make and keep a company good, by doing good work. Y'all spend more money and time changing and teaching new workers. I worked for textron for almost 7years. I loved my job and planed to stay untill I was ready to retire. I was on time, rarely sick, did my job with no problems. I was able to do cross work in all stations. But I still got laid off, with out my supervisor picking me.
