@KfSHZAN-7miv Well it is pretty hard to tell between a downstraight lie and people that aren't actually doing the work, not that it matters as the end result gives a student no provided job from the school at graduation. Since the majority of the issues from all Ai across the country lies with who they hire the public will view this campus as the "good" one as the faculty did a borderline job and will say something along the lines of "unfortunately misblamed" and "the amount of effort you put in". Generally once all the Ai schools in CA shut down, the former employees will flock to this campus. Should AiOC get shut down? Do I really need to ask that question? The better question is if you can actually find any factual evidence to prove its faults in order to even make it into the spotlight. Compared to the LA and Hollywood, unless the faculty does something horrible, this campus at best would just get a glance from everyone, including the industry people hiring.
AiOC is a waste of time. There are only two directors, I'm sorry, program coordinators left and one of them is a total kiss A$$. He kisses the butt of every person that is higher up than he is. The faculty is just okay, but just because this campus is free from public controversy doesn't mean they should still be allowed to mislead and lie to students. Over half of the faculty there are part-timers. Pathetically, some of these part-timers were laid off as full-time faculty and reapplied begging for their jobs back to just make a measly $30/per hour. AiOC stays under the radar because everyone, including faculty are so afraid of losing their jobs that they just go with the flow and refuse to stick up for themselves or even the students they claim they love so much.
Someone should look into the relationships of female students and their male teachers....I'd say there might be something there to inspect.....
Ah memories of 2012, After firing Tracy, the Academic Director of Media Arts and Animation of the time explained to a class about the concept of "if asked to jump, you say how high" or if the higher ups told you to jump off a bridge, then go for it as it applies to any employment job. Funny thing is by the later year that person got replaced. There are students who do wanted Tracy to come back to the school and the petition (though didn't work 4 years later), however there is a consensus of students who never met the guy, was intimidated by him for some reason, or was unaware that actually happen and didn't made much impact to them.
But I am going a off topic, to KfSHZAN-1fem that is as relevant as you can get from this school as unlike LA and Hollywood, this school is more of a background. Why? Don't know maybe because it is so far off the areas of any industry that no one reports how bad it is much less find anyone hiring within the area to begin with. It is like a ghost school, except it can recruit more students easily due to the nature of no controversies or issues than the others. My guess is this school will be the last one standing here in CA in the slow shut down of Ai.
Also to add to KfSHZAN-1pyd's point: you think that is bad? They hardly ever updated their demo reels. Of course it is a wise decision because each time they update it the quality goes down, but don't tell the potential students that as they only come in once.
It's a corporation posing as an art school...PERIOD!!! The end is near. Be patient!

So true. EDMC never could reconcile the art school to the business model. Doesn't help that the admins are so thoroughly useless. My chair is almost never in his office and when he is there, he's preparing to leave. On those rare occasions when you do catch him in and are able to put a question to him, it's evident that he really doesn't seem to know what's going on. I could say the same for several other department heads.
You can't run a business or an art school with such lousy hired help.

I worked at an Ai in CA and when I said "this is an art school" in response to a ridiculous claim made at an all school meeting, the RVP corrected me and said " this is not an art school, this is a business." This was around the time Tracy got fired.
And, it was a long time ago but the point is that mentality still rules the art institutes.

OC is the worst. Sorry but its true. They have no balls. So scared they will not even hang up artwork from a life drawing class in the hallways for fear of it nude drawings offending people. Hello? Is this an art school? You realize its not porn right? You realize this is a college right? What's going to happen on the trip to Europe when you have to see all those nude statues in town squares and on public buildings and all over the church walls.
They even fired one of our own teachers who stood up to the school for forcing students to buy books the instructors didn't think was necessary. Google Mike Tracy AI OC.

Ha, I've worked at LA, Hollywood, OC and Inland empire. OC is actually the most sane of the 4 campuses. That sh*t heel Claude Brown tends to leave it be while he sprays his feces heavily on Hollywood and Inland Empire. If anything the Hollywood campus is now the worst in Socal. Inland is close behind. LA is just a decaying corpse.
