Worked at Textron for four years, got out mainly because I was not satisfied with benefits, but it wasn't the best environment eather. Cold war between millenialls and older employees, a lot favouritism, and frequent change in upper managment causing constant shift in priorities. Hope something has changed since I left, otherwise, I'm not sure if I would recommend it to a friend.

Obviously the person that put the comment- there's nothing wrong with Benefits doesn't work at Textron or they are with administration. I do agree there are issues with Textron just like any company just as there are favoritism in any company but as for the benefits for a family your deductible has to be met before anything is paid which is at $4,000 for the family! I did ask at one time what happened to USA made to a Leadman and Foreman which they started laughing which is better totally offended me! People are scared to speak up and I believe that's why some of the issues keep happening. I was also told that we were paid from the neck down not paid to think when we noticed issues that would have to be welded on or cause major issues down the line that could be taken care of easily when I know you were told to keep my mouth shut. Always thought that company was set up for failure and the management was sabotaging it.
Benefits HAVE gone by the wayside!!! There have been so many benefits taken away. There are no more pensions, mandatory overtime. If you don't show up on your day off for overtime, like you said, they count you absent, as if it were a regular work day. They used to treat you like adults out there. Now, some areas, you need permission to go to the restroom!!
Not satisfied with the benefits?! Are you out of your mind? The health and 401k plans are outstanding, across the board!
