To the people being laid off think of it as your Christmas gift to the poor.
SST will take part of the savings from the layoffs, and use it to make a Charity donation to the poor
I've never seen a layoff at statestreet after the first week of december.
I recall a few people getting laid off in December. I don't remember the year but it was a while ago. One of my good friends who was laid off in December got a great job with Brown Brothers and is much happier than they ever were working at State Street.
NO way !!!!!!! Would they really be that dam cruel and do pink slips during December ?
