I wish Technip would just come in and get rid of all of us. This whole company is crap. Thankfully I just put in my two weeks, leaving oil and gas forever. I will always look back on my time with FMC with hatred and frustration, just one empty promise and lie after another. Good luck to those of you hanging around, hopefully it gets better.

I am so sorry to hear that you all feel that way about FMC. I hope that this merger will help some of you understand that not all corporate/oil and gas corporations are like what you mentioned. Technip is a wonderful company to work for and I hope you all find a home within this merger; myself included.
Promises after promises after promises, none in which were ever fulfilled. I was in ever pay day with the manager cause they always messed up my bonus, oh we'll fix it next pay, which actually meant next month. Which turned into a 6 month fu** up in which I finally told management I was going home till they fixed my pay. Funny how the next day they had a cheque for me to fix all the missed pay. In which you still had to watch ever bonus cheque cause the scum bag manager always tried to screw you, less he pays his employees the bigger his quarterly bonuses are. That included skimming on repairs such as tires, exhaust leaks, etc. Oh and so much more. Not saying that it's like that at ever base, but yyyaaaa
It's a shame that H.R. lets these people pick and hire their buddies at the expense of qualified candidates. Its not what you know it who you -----.
I totally agree. At first I was devastated when I was laid off, but it has turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. Working for FMC was miserable. I was always stressed and never appreciated. It was always "great job, but you need to do more". Meanwhile management doesn't know their heads from their asses and can't figure out how to efficiently and effectively run the facility. They are extremely well versed in how to promote unqualified people (their friends) into management positions or created positions though.
YOU must be young and ignorant. FMC has brainwashed you into believing every corporation is as sh--ty as they are. You must be management.
You must be very young. It's going to be like that almost anywhere in corporate America. Better get used to it.
Correction-they don't even care about management! It's the worthless A$$ kissers who have s---ed the life out of, and drained FMCs bank accounts with their high salaries for years, that they seem to keep and protect! Know of one particular worthless person who comes in when she feels like it, takes three hour lunches and leaves early cuz she has no one at her facility to keep her in check! Pretty sure she's around $150K a year too! This happens while hard workers are let go-don't walk away from this place-RUN!!!
Someone here said there is life after fmc . So funny . So true I feel like 50 lbs off my chest fmc s---s a-- and they only care about managment!
Takes courage and guts to finally move on. Best of luck on your next opportunity. If the place is making your miserable then it is best to move on to where you'll hopefully be appreciated and told the truth.
