We're making boxes now?!? What?
It will be even worse for Brocade employees than it was/is for Broadcom classic. Hock said he is divesting most of Brocade.
Hock's plan includes paying zero taxes on profits due to moving the hq to Singapore. The bigger it gets the more likely this loophole will close. In the meantime, he is destroying any innovation and organic growth inside the companies he is acquiring. As a member of a previously very innovative group inside classic Broadcom, I've seen it first hand. The layoffs took out the low end and the high end engineers are trickling out still to this day due to lack of resources needed to do a good job. The high end engineers like to innovate, that is why they are engineers and not business men. You take that away from them and they will leave.
It is a complete f---ing mess inside broadcom (classic) now, I don't understand how can they make another one? Are we headed for a cliff?
Yes. Brocade is acquired by Broadcom announced by our CEO Hock Tan
