Rumors swirling about a spring and / or between 1st and 2nd quarter 7% IT layoff. In 2016 IT announced and did a summer 10% layoff with a 7% announced layoff in 2017. Anyone else hear 2017 rumors?

Not sure if this is a hint or my IT manager messed up sending out the IT dept HR task presentation that gives the usual dates when goals, raises, salary review, etc are due but in the slide with an overview of all 12 months under May 2017 it states "September RIF request due". The detailed slides from April on are blanked out but the header slide of all months may have spilled the beans or was a friendly warning.

I haven't heard anything, but I believe it. It seems like IT never misses a chance to get in on the layoff action. :|
