Part of the arrangement to have Technicians sign up for ATS is for them to sign a document stating they are voluntarily leaving Altice USA for employment elsewhere. Legally speaking, I suspect they'll be in enough of a gray area to do what they wish with those employees. This includes, but is not limited to, converting them from W2 employees to 1099 contractors, thereby eliminating their benefits all together.
Of course the company said they will honor the psc deal...but will they...they can do what they want with ats...technically it's a new entity and a new company and not in the original franchise agreement...and if you leave Altice USA ..your basically leaving the company for another one...they have already broken so many promises...I'm betting on no...they will wait until the smoke clears...then when people jump over to ats ...and a year or so into the build out they will come up with something...a new policy or a new " reorganizing effort"...they are deceiving scum...ats is a death certificate...we asked our manager what if we didn't go to ats..and he basically shrugged his shoulders...they are pretty much trying to force your hand...trying to do a hostile take over...we will fight them...unionize all shops...force them to scrap ats...they can do the build with Altice USA...just like when cablevision took us over in the late 90s...they came in...did a rebuild...no of this creating a new corporation crap....it's all a scam by Altice to reduce head count...increase their bottom line...so they can make their Bellys fatter...and so Dexter can buy another 31 million dollar house...
Doesn't the article state they will honor the PSC deal under ATS.
anyone who doesn't see this as anything other than a ruse to be able to reduce pay and benefits and lay off techs faster and easier than the deal they made with the state isn't paying close enough attention.
What is so alarming?
