ADP Lays Off Employees Frequently

ADP is in the process of restructuring their workforce by laying off established, well paid employees (so-called "associates") and hiring new ones doing the same jobs for far less money. New hubs where these cheap workers are being hired are Norfolk, VA and Maitland, FL.

Layoffs take place every 2 to 3 years at ADP, but they have now accelerated as the company throws out its well paid employees and replaces them with cheaper ones. I expect this to continue for a year or two until all the undesired workers are eliminated.

Wow on the 15-20 office closings. That is a lot of people losing jobs to the new locations. I dont think the newer associates will be up to speed to handle what took tenured folks years to become experts at to help the clients!

15-20 Office closures announced today. More experienced associates to be replaced by people who have no experience, for lower wages either outsourced to India or located in low wage states.

The sad thing about this is ADP is not training all of these new lower skilled less paid ee's. The handful of experienced ee's still on hand are expected to not only do their existing jobs but also left to clean up the disasters the new untrained ee's create. Let's not forget to mention many of the new ee's have never held a job and no HCM or payroll experience. For now it's all about getting the stock holders paid at the clients expense.

Are they laying off any of the client service or technical support reps in the Phillipines or just the United States?

Company laid off a few NY city client service reps today that were with the company 20 years. Company is using the bs excuse of people are not being productive enough. They are targeting higher paid employees to make room for the lower wage new hires. ADP has a goal of having a total of five large call centers and has plans to close up the rest.

I think it's a sh--ty way to do business. You can almost consider all those new hires scab workers. They are being hired to replace current employees. I hope Paychex gains ADP customers over this BS.

Yep, seems they are smartshoring jobs and closing smaller offices around the country. Some former affected employees are posting comments on Glassdoor about this. Sad.
