Selling Carrington and closing remaining campuses

I heard a rumor that Carrington Colleges will be sold, and the remaining DeVry campuses will be closed.

You make it sound like closing DVU suddenly fixes Devry's brand problem.

There is no buyer for DVU since it makes no money. Plus has lots of legal problems.

Can anyone explain why medical enrollments are down so much and none of Devry's competitors in the Caribbean see an issue? It smells like collateral brand damage.

It's easy. Chamberlain takes over the leases and the undergraduate courses needed for their programs. Devry is a huge drain on this corporation now. Their enrollments are a quarter of what they were. If it wasn't for Chamberlain, most metro Devrys would have been forced to close a year ago.

How can you close DeVry U campuses given almost all have co-location with Chamberlain? That does not make sense. And who is the buyer for Carrington? It never makes any money. DV might need to PAY someone to take it.

The funds from the sale of Carrington will be used to pay the FTC settlement.
