Yes. Heard from a reputable manager that at least two more rounds are coming for HPE ES ITIO. One round before April 1, 2017 and then again after merging in with newco/CDC. They will focus on 30 to 40% from high cost companies and employees who have been in their role for several years. They will be moving roles from high cost countries (US) to low cost countries (India). Managers are not to hire from high cost countries, not even with internal employees. ES will strictly enforce the planned labor pyramid. Been told the days of annual raises are gone -- no raises unless you develop new skills and move into a new job. But given that managers cannot hire from high cost countries or transfer internal employees from high cost countries into open positions, it doesn't seem hopeful that it would really matter if we develop new skills or not.
I don't know it, but based on my experience at HP/HPE and participating in acquisition and separation activities during Compaq-merger, Palm, Autonomy, HP Inc, now CSC and then next on MicroFocus, there were always layoffs. However you called it optimization, trimming, consolidation, synergies but at the bottom line if you sum them up all I expect in the short run (half year before merger and half year after April 1st) an estimated impact of 1/3 - 1/2 on current staff of the "purchased" company and in this case we have CSC in the lead and HPE's Enterprise Services Business Unit to be sub.
I am at HPE and know I'm on the list to be laid off in mid January - was told I was going in the next "round" so I assume the "rounds" will just continue until March when the two failing companies merge, because why would CSC need 100k HPE employees? I assume they will continue to trim fat after that as well, cause "NewCo" as the HPE dorks in charge call it, needs to be able to keep its greedy execs in the $$$$$$$$
Yes, there will be more layoffs. All those new contractors on your team? Those are your replacements. Some of you will be offered the opportunity to stay... after you take a pay cut (and more benefits cuts). I expect unpaid time off will be mandated for those who remain when they are not on an active contract (On the bench). CSC was in a downward spiral before this "merger" deal, how is taking on 100,000 employees going to help them come out of it?
Well yeah there will be layoffs. That is the only way either one of these companies know how to make money without depriving their greedy executives. It's like a given.
He's talking about the HPE Enterprise Services spin-off merger with CSC. It's announced and can be found on a million news sites, you dolt.
To answer your question, yes. There are absolutely layoffs, that are happening starting a month ago and probably all the way until the event in April. I have seen some very poor decisions being made with regards to who is being laid off. It's obvious that the decisions are coming from high level numbers from folks who have no idea what is going on tactically speaking.
I'm on the CSC side and we're asking the same questions. So far we've heard nothing on the layoff numbers.
there is no spin off, stop being a rumour monger. Show us the evidence else it's just pure BS
