There is no indication at this time if there will be layoffs in 2017. Micron though lays people off all the time. Often we don't hear about it because it is not a large layoff rather a more selective layoff of individuals. If you work in an area that is not particularly busy you might have some cause for concern. Things are always changing around here so nothing should surprise anyone either way.

There may not be an indication of any layoffs at this time, but layoffs are always a possibility. It is the nature of this business and everyone should always be ready for any slowdown which often turns into layoffs
Indication? Up until the day you get laid off you supervisor or Manager will say they have no idea what so ever about lay offs and the next day you are walking out the door. No one knows until it happens except management and they are told to pretend they don't know anything. Who doesn't know that?
There doesn't have to be an indication. All of a sudden the word gets out and the everything is set into motion. Wait until Spring, then we'll see
The bigger the Micron China grows, and it is getting bigger all the time,the smaller Micron USA gets. That's what they want.
