Thread regarding PPG Industries Inc. layoffs

Something rotten

You know that the company is rotten when "yes-man" culture takes over. I've been working in PPG for 4 years, and I see it everywhere I turn. With leaders it's all about stockholders, they don't care about people nor for the company's well being. Decision making so poor and without any touch with an actual situation on ground level. Middle managers are too busy getting on the right side of the right person, or lack either courage or interest to speak up for the stores. And the lower employees, the ones who are not brown nosers, are too under-payed and overworked, definitely not motivated to say anything. No bright future for this firm. Rotten to the core.

Still too traditional, this slows down things a lot.

They should shake up things on regional levels.
