Over a decade of layoffs and spinoffs have hurt the culture and ability to innovate.
The current strategy is to extract profits out, not invest in any sound way and pay out shareholders and execs. So, hence layoffs and major benefits cuts, perks are gone so is any pride that was associated with working for Agilent. Raises exist but for a small layer of super performers.
I dont have official numbers for you but we used to have over 50K employees and now we are in a 20K range - more work is being moved outside of the country, that's where the growth is.
