I am switching over from PC to Mac. My PC is custom built. I sold my HP Laptop in 2013
I don't throw stuff out, but when it runs out of ink I'll refill and as things fails I'll replace them with non HP. HPI and HPE shouldn't get any more of your hard earned money.
I was wfr after 30 years. Just because of that doesn't mean i should throw everything out. I am made as heck with management but not the product
When I got laid off in 2014 I almost immediately sold my HP printer and laptop. I bought an Apple one and went with Lexmark for my few printing needs. For me it was more of symbol than anything else. I really doubt I'll buy an HP/HPE product ever again unless it's something really radical years ahead of anyone else (and of course, I know that will never happen... hehehe).
I gave up on HP printers long ago. I have a kick a-- HP EliteDesk computer. (Next day on-site business support, at a residence, is better than hauling a big iMac to the closest genius bar.) I also have one ProLiant server at the centre of my home data center. The proliants are also kick a--, judging from how long they last in corporate data centers. (They'd better be, given how little HPE invests in own R&D. We still have some G3 proliants at work ...)
4 laptops and a printer, I was also just let go. I loved the company just in the wrong hands!
I have a color laser printer. Just because I was WFRd doesn't mean I'm going to trash my printer and buy a new one.
I've 2 printers and a laptop, desktop. I love the company and their products. It gave me good carrier and money. Was made redundant 6 months back after nearly 8 years of service. Unfortunately company is in wrong hands and majority of us are suffered/ing.
