Today we are announcing to our employees that McKesson™ EIS and Infor™ (formerly Lawson Software) have joined together to form a strategic go to market partnership that will improve customer choice and aid healthcare organizations in better managing and reducing supply chain costs. The public announcement of this partnership will occur sometime next week.
As a result of this alliance, Infor will now offer McKesson’s Strategic Supply Sourcing™, a unique cloud-based supply chain procurement solution that helps drive sustainable savings for medical surgical supplies through improved contract compliance and identification of cost savings opportunities. Additionally, McKesson EIS will offer Infor’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) CloudSuite Healthcare™ solutions. Augmenting EIS’ solutions with Infor’s CloudSuite Healthcare solutions will allow EIS to further modernize our ERP portfolio and support customer evolution to cloud-based services.
We believe industry investments in cloud-based applications will continue to accelerate. Through this strategic partnership we are increasing our ability to provide the most powerful value to our healthcare customer, driving innovations and traction to any client or prospect that is looking to move into cloud-based solutions. As our ERP customers seek SaaS options, we will assure their future needs can be addressed.
Please note, we are still committed to our existing McKesson ERP suite as an on premises solution, including McKesson Supply Chain Management™, McKesson Fiscal Management™, and McKesson Human Capital Management™. Further upgrades to these valuable solutions are scheduled to launch (v17) in 2017. Additionally, this partnership does not have any impact on the Paragon® integration EMR solution or its ERP system.
By offering Infor CloudSuite, we will now be able to provide an alternative, meeting the needs of our customers looking for a system that supports a cloud-based IT architecture. Attached to this email is a FAQ sheet, which will address many of your questions and guide you in future discussions with our customers.
