This NextSteps program for laid off employees is a joke of the cruelest kind. All they do is forward your application to the Talent Acquisition Rep responsible for the posted position. They don't follow up with you, nothing. Then you never get in follow up on anything from the Talent Acquisition Rep or if you do get interviewed by them, you get no follow up on what the hiring manager decides. McKesson has no interest in whether you stay or go, live or die.

I get immediate response that I've been handed to the hiring manager. Though also pretty quick response that they have more qualified candidates so I'm not in the running.
They paid me $315,000 to leave - didn't take too long for me to consider that. I'm headed to retirement! Thanks McKesson!
Hey HR buy in Alph - karma's gonna be a b--ch.....
@KKehTOS-4gle: Hey clown, this site is available to everyone. If the company isn't going to give the poster he or she needs, this is a reasonable alternative. You're probably one of those boss's-favourite-little-snitch types that spend more time with their nose in other peoples bizness.
You got laid off, get over yourself and leave. You have some nerve trying to stay when your unwanted.
Great idea, thanks!
I'm sorry to hear you're having to deal with this kind of stupidity. The last thing you need is more stress added onto of the layoff. It might be worth considering getting a labor lawyer to work with you. It's likely that you're not the only one experiencing this, so you might be able to get a group together for a lawsuit. That would definitely get you a call-back.
