Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

CJ + Paralegal

Having worked in the industry for 4ish years in a Career Services leadership roll I wanted to share some thoughts. Feel free to flame away, hell I may just Troll myself for lolz, but feel this needs to be said.

At the campus level, take a look back at your career and think of the most difficult experiences you have had. Where they surrounding CJ or Paralegal students?

Frankly if those programs had never been a part of the Everest brand, CCI would still be alive and kicking.

Medical industries are in demand, and we serve a population that wouldn't be served elsewhere.

CJ +PL, not so much. Those kids didn't have a chance.

Under the old regime I remember hearing, "...but we get so many CJ leads..."

It did not matter if the CJ students disrupted the entire campus and drove all the other students away.

Accurate. CJ and Paralegal were worthless degrees at Everest and ripped many people off. They were told all kinds of outlandish expectations, non of which came true. Paralegal has real strict entry requirements similar to Nursing and you just can't get any degree and expect to be accepted. CJ degrees are mostly worthless at the best colleges, at Everest, they were even worse. CJ was never really a real degree that helped get a police job. Most departments would rather you had a Business or any other degree and they will teach you how they want you taught in the academy. CJ was simply an easy degree and many took it mainly because it was easy, lets not kid ourselves. As CJ is for the undergrad, for the Masters it is now "leadership." Now many colleges have the new "public Administration" worthless degree and its now called "leadership." These are the degrees to give executives that want an easy masters degree to complete but sounds good, without a lot of work. PA was around for many years to fill this need, now Leadership is the bozo degree.

Our Paralegal Degree (if you can call it that) was taught out 2 years ago. The VERY SAD thing is that most of those students were Veterans. Veterans who wasted (Our) hard earned money.

Fixed that for you.
