You got that right! Our management is a joke! There are a few and a very few that actually deserve the title. Once they become a manager the title goes to their head and they don't do anything anymore but go to the Texan games and milk the company!

The company was good, but if you read some of the older post on this site, the common denominator is that the FMC management team did not respect the dignity of its employees, long timers with much experience and dedication were just walked out the door by security.
Subjects like Quality, safety and customer satisfaction were just company slogans, performance appraisals were not merit based and nepotism was rampant thru out the entire operation. That is what disgusts all the dedicated workers whom believed the B.S. and are either voluntarily gone or abruptly dumped with the butt kissers and select management kept.
This site started getting lots of activity about half a year ago and it has been the same observation since. let the MBA candidates direct the business and the heck with all those whom had the experience and best interest of keeping their careers alive and growing.
I remember the HR core value hire the best, train the best and retain the best. Most of the core values were just slogans when times got rough, thats not a company with integrity.

The last two posts should be running this company!! Fmc needed to save money on pensions fund so who else better to let go..,,, all people with 20 plus years. S---s for these people having to start over again
When I went to work in the plant in the 90's there was a sign that read something like we hire and retain more than our fair share of the best employees.What a joke this is with current management.If you're not an a--kisser you don't have a chance no matter what your skills are.

FMC never claimed to make decisions based on ethics or values. All decisions are based purely on business. Those who remain, stay loyal to the company and you will be justly rewarded.

All you people in Erie who were let go last December just didn't fit in with the new an upcoming crowd. You worked your asses off to get shipments out the door but that is not what FMC is interested in. To be hired or work for Erie you have to be considered "Promotable". Sorry, only up and coming "Promotable" people are welcome. All others need not apply.

Funny how Erie Pa has 3 Planner Positions, 1 Customer Service and a Purchasing Person as well as Purchasing Manager posted but less than a year ago they eliminated those positions and the people who knew how to get things done. I just found that interesting.
