I got laid off from HPE in April and went to work with AWS. OP, you have no idea of the huge satisfaction I got from reading your post. There's absolutely no way HPE will be able to compete with us. We are here to win big, and HPE lost that spark long time ago. We work here as beasts, and are extremely proud of it. We do have a true visionary leader that employees really respect and admire. I'm sorry, guys... You better look for other jobs very soon, because HPE will be crushed without any mercy.

"Hewlett Packard Enterprise is responding directly to the public cloud competitive threat." by eliminating their own public cloud earlier this year! C'mon! There's no way for HPE to compete in that space. HPE tried by incubating their own cloud. When they realized it wasn't going to be as big as Amazon's cloud in a short amount of time, they closed it all down, laid off a bunch of people and spun part of it off to SUSE.

AWS innovates and evolves too fast. There's no way HPE can keep that pace, and to be brutally honest... What are we anyways? Ask your peers what is the HPE strategic vision and in which markets we compete, and I bet you'll hear different responses from everyone - and most probably not a single one will be correct.

@zzn I'm pretty sure that was his point.... that this is far too late.

Are you implying that we can't compete against AWS? We lost that fight long ago already....
