I ve also heard January 10th is the magic day. Mostly back office and inside folks but I don't believe that. I believe they will target as they have done before, older more expensive employees, those in the higher paid jobs i.e. III level as the trend has been to Pip them and then replace with I and II level folks. Dell EMC will dumb down the Dell side, move most to the channel over the next two years and then go public, declare victory and screw the employees. PIPS have been given out like candy yet some have been on them for months, still not made their number and survived while others are cut the next month. Typical Dell they do what they want regardless of labor laws. As an older higher paid sales type I feel a big target on my back for sure. Saving all commissions and looking hard outside.

2nd week of January 2017 get ready for what one senior director calls "a bloodbath."

Word among senior management is that there will be upward of 20k being hit.

Right now it's rumored to be 10k-20k.

If you are Legacy-EMC, and you are selected, better hope it's in January and not after February 1st. The packages will be better between now and January 31st.

Good luck to all!

IT is an industry of violent emotional abuse as the norm. The psychological torture practiced in India's and China's sweat-shops was relocated to North America together with the H1-B/foreign workers umbrella programs
