Has anyone heard when and how we're getting paid tomorrow? Any concerns with getting paid? Any reliable information.... I think we have all realized this is where we are getting our information from so let's try to put accurate info on here for each other:

Total BS on the rant about the former Corporate Director of FA. She was one of the few at Home Office who knew what she was doing. Heritage was taken down by a spending problem...not an income problem.
Heard all campuses are closing at 3:00 pm today. Could be a rumor not sure. We were told meeting at 2:30 pm.
We have a mandatory meeting at 2:30pm.
I heard Columbus got paid, but only minimum wage. But it could only be a rumor. We are still waiting here.

Updates on checks? We still haven't been paid.
We were told checks wouldn't be here until 11am. So now it the waiting game until then. While sitting at work possibly not getting paid for our time. . .

We shall find out today. Sad but true, we "little" people are out of the loop. Left to wonder if we are even going to get paid, this is just sicking. Roof is on fire but PAY US FIRST before the MOFO burns!
You can thank the Corporate Director of FA (former). When she brought me on, she brought on years (far more years than her)of corporate experience. When I noticed the illegal packaging she was approving, I chaulked it up to the fact that maybe she just didn't know. So I set a meeting with her to review what needed to be corrected and how. At that point everything done, could have been easily fixed. Her response... She fired me.
Students have been sitting in class almost until graduation with no award letter. Every single student should have signed an Award Letter BEFORE the student sat in class.
Instead, she would only allow student to be packaged only AFTER she knew the funds could be awarded. This lessened her 'Past Due Cash Report' to make her department look like they were on top of all the packaging. The reality is.....less than 30% of active students have scheduled funding. The other 70% will graduate with zero Title IV funding, and owing a huge amount to the school.
FYI when you owe a balance to the school, you do not get your diploma or transcripts. So students are struggling to get this huge balance paid so they can get into the career fields they studied for.
How many of that 70% do you think actually have the ability to come up with 10's of THOUSANDS of dollars? Very few..... Although you cannot file Bankruptcy on student loans, you surely can on any balance owed to the school. Which is most likely the scenario.
She only kept on staff that did not question her lack of ethics or challenge her illegal practices.
These schools are staffing for 100% of their students but only getting funding for 30%. Of course this was going to happen.
You do have an excellent corporate FA team fighting for all the funding each and every student is entitled to. However, they were trained wrong.
Good luck to you all. This control freak, unethical, form Director failed not only the students, but the facility and staff that depended on their jobs to feed their families. Her numbers were more important to her than any of that.

Nobody will buy into this business. Just like nobody would grant the company a loan...
I doubt they will declare bankruptsy. That would essentially make new Title IV funds impossible. There's no reorganization in this business. If they pay us it will be because they have hopes of finding a buyer before the next payday.
I think they are gathering information to make a legal decision. Bankruptcy doesn't happen over night. I hope we all find out soon what our destiny will become. We just all want answers at this point so we can prepare.
I asked for an update and I've been told that I will get it once my ED has more information. I think they have been avoiding the staff. I'm getting worried that we won't get it :(
Yeah it's part of my paycheck. Vendor still supplying.....hoping they restructure properly. Legally obligate:)
What check are you talking about when you say you've been waiting for 6 months? I assume that you are not talking about your paycheck?
What's new...we have been told there will be a check for 6 months now and nothing has come!!! Fully expect tomorrow being the first day of the month to be "the day".
This is all a little strange. Why wouldn't the school have just closed the doors on Friday if they did'nt have funds for payroll? The students just keep coming everyday as normal and nothing is normal! Why would the owner take advantage of his staff and students in this manner? Maybe there really is'nt a corporate office at this point and the schools just haven't been informed.
